Job Title: Part-time Handyman Company: Location: Toledo, OH Description: Grocery chain seeks a contract maintenance person for our ten Toledo area stores. Initially, the position would average approximately 18-26 hours per week. After our backlog of maintenance projects is complete, the position would average approximately 8-16 hours per week. The position will perform routine preventative maintenance, along with regular handyman work. You must show that you are proficient at minor electrical (primarily changing lighting ballasts and lightbulbs), plumbing (leaky toilets and faucets), painting, drywall (repairing cracks in the wall), powerwashing, and general maintenance. A past history of property maintenance must be shown. Simply having worked around your house is not enough. The position pays $35 per hour. Your hourly rate starts from the moment you leave your house and head to a store and continues until you return home. This is a contract position. You will bill us bi-weekly for your services. You must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to all of our stores in the greater Toledo area, in a region extending from Defiance to Sandusky. Mileage is paid at the IRS rate, which is currently $0.50 per mile. Mileage includes your round trip miles from your house to a store and back home again. You will be reimbursed fully for all materials purchased (no markup is permitted). You must use your own power tools, however. In some cases, equipment such as a powerwasher or shop vac will be provided to you. Because we are a retail grocery chain, you must be able to work on weekdays (Monday through Thursday, preferably).
