As an Installer you will be primarily responsible for cleaning attics and installing insulation in homes and commercial buildings. Work environment will be very hot at times during warmer times of year and many times in attics which have small maneuvering access. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ? Remove old insulation and Clean Attic. ? Select the best type of insulation for the job. ? Measure and cut sections of insulation to the proper length. ? Stretch material and slip over pipe. ? Fasten insulation with glue, staples, tape, or wire bands. ? May wrap a cover over the insulation and secure it in place. ? Use common hand tools such as box cutter, scissors, saws, and staple guns. $10.00 - $14.00/hr. approx. (based on experience) REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: One plus years insulation installation experience (exceptions may be made on case by case basis) Self-directed; ability to work independently Understand written information Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately Ability to determine the tools and equipment needed to do a job Ability to operate and control equipment Must be sure that all details of the job are done so that their work meets building codes (We Train) Must be careful and exact in work to avoid safety hazards Must pass DRUG SCREENING!!! Applicant must have basic handyman or construction skills as they pertain to the installation of energy saving products, and must be able to provide references supporting their trade experience. Applicant must have a clean-cut appearance, adequately read, write and speak English. Applicants must possess a clean driving record, and be able to provide a DMV report at the first interview. This is a Mon. thru Sat position. Specific skills desired: knowledge of residential roofing and attic structures, insulation types, sheetrock repair and patching, basic electrical wiring skills.
