HVAC Technician, Certified- Primary Children's 70208 Description The Refrigeration Tech will perform installations, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, air handling equipment, circulating pumps, cooling towers, dampers, pneumatic and electrical controls in and around the hospital.  Responsible to ensure all work is completed in accordance with hospital standards, JCAHO, State and Local codes. Essential Job Responsibilities: Accountable for preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, including detailed documentation using EMMA database, maintaining 95% completion rate, measured quarterly.  Maintain proper levels of parts and supplies Perform technical and electrical repairs on all refrigeration equipment using EPA certification/training Perform corrective maintenance and repairs Provide clear and effective communication Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: -High School diploma or GED and Universal EPA certification are required. -Four year trade school education required -5 years work experience as an HVAC / Refrigeration Technician. -Must have experience with rooftop units, ice machines, electronic and pneumatic controls, and medium and low temperature refrigeration systems. -Must be able to bend, twist, push, pull, stand, climb ladders and lift more than 50 lbs on a regular basis. -Occasional nights, holiday, and weekend work may be required. QUALIFICATIONS: -Demonstrates the ability to trouble-shoot mechanical and electrical systems and facilitate repairs.  -Must be skilled at reading and interpreting technical documentation and blue prints. -Demonstrates ability of effective verbal and written communication.
