Essential Functions ·          Responsible to perform all assigned duties as safely and efficiently as possible to maintain a safe environment. ·          Knowledgeable in industrial HVAC systems and gas fired boilers with emphasis on troubleshooting and repairs of electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical control devices. ·          Knowledgeable in direct expansion, chilled and heated water systems, including but not limited to chillers up to 1000 tons, boilers up to 5 MMBTU/hr, hydronic hot/cold water distribution systems, cooling towers, packaged, split systems, air delivery systems, and their controls and components. ·          Possess all standard abilities of industrial HVAC repair technicians including: soldering, brazing, pipe-fitting, electrical and electronic installation, troubleshooting and repairs, and refrigerant handling. ·          Knowledge of basic electronic and pneumatic controls to include calibration of devices and ability to analyze and resolve chiller, boiler, and facility system deficiencies. ·          Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accomplish tasks. ·          Ability to gather information, analyzes data, and develops methods to improve equipment reliability and operation. ·          Uses the EMCS equipment and data to monitor, interpret, analyze, and control the connected systems to minimize abnormal conditions and accomplish maintenance and repair tasks. ·          Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements. ·         Position is classified as mission essential and requires employee to shelter at work location and to respond to disasters or other contingency operations. Qualifications Basic Qualifications ·         Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. ·         Minimum of 3 years within the commercial/industrial HVAC career field. ·         Minimum of 1 years experience in the troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of pneumatic controls devices and systems. ·         Good written and verbal communication skills required. ·         Basic computer skills required. ·         Able to lift minimum of 50 lbs. ·         Able to stand for long periods of time. ·         Valid State driver's license required.  Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government/USAF driver's license required. ·         Possess EPA CFC/HCFC "Universal" Refrigerant Handling Certification ·         Trade related training certifications will be considered. Special Requirements ·         PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS AND IMMUNIZATIONS.  The service provider shall be responsible for pre-employment physicals and immunizations/shots as prescribed by MTF policies for any service provider personnel who may work at the MTF.  Immunization/shot records for service provider personnel who may work at the MTF shall be maintained by the service provider and made available to the ACO and designated Government personnel upon request. Employees who sign declinations may change their minds at anytime and receive the Hepatitis B vaccine. ·         Other Requirements for Physical Examinations.  The MTF Commander, or his designated representative, may require nose and throat cultures and blood samples from contractor personnel when required by the Infection Control Officer.  The MTF Commander reserves the right to have any contractor employee examined if illness or infection is suspected. ·         Medically Unfit Employees.  The MTF Commander, or his designated representative, may designate an employee as medically unfit for work on the medical campus.  The medically unfit employee will not return to work on the medical campus until re-examined by a contractor-selected physician or, if applicable, the appropriate MTF physician, and given a release to work statement.
