Job Title: Kitchen Refrigeration Mechanic - Willard InterContinental Company: InterContinental Hotels Group Location: Washington, DC Description: We currently have a position available as a Kitchen Refrigeration Mechanic in our Engineering Department. This challenging position has overall responsibility for performing major repairs andmaintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.Located in the heart of Washington DC, the hotel is near government and business offices, within walking distance to several Washington theater districts, as well as many sightseeing attractions. The White House is just two blocks away and the National Mall, with its diverse museums, is within walking distance. Known as the Crown Jewel of Pennsylvania Avenue, or the Grand Dame of American Hotels, the Willard InterContinental enjoys its place as a major force in the social and political life of Washington DC.Key responsibilities of the role include:Perform maintenance and repairs for assigned area of expertise. Ensure that assigned equipment is prepared and operational for the following days work.Adhere to federal, state and local regulations concerning safety and other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policy and procedures to ensure quality, safety, and consistency. Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor. May educate and train hotel staff in the safe and proper use of equipment.Follow procedures that ensure the security of inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, equipment etc., replenishes supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimizes waste. Assist with other duties as assigned.
