Job Title: Rig Welder

Candidates should have PIPE WELDING experience and certifications. Candidates should also have their own portable WELDER set up on their own truck. Compensation will be a "combo" rate for wages plus a "Rig Rate" to cover the truck and welder. These rates depend on experience. We currently do NOT have openings for single hand welders, we are specifically looking for those set up with their own Rig. Employees will serve with a large International Construction company that is doing work on an Oilfield Lease in Montebello. There are tremendous long term opportunities with this company for the right individuals. These positions are set to begin IMMEDIATELY! Basic Qualification: Possess basic reading and writing skills along with the ability to add and subtract; capable of reading a ruler (standard and metric); perform basic math skills; operate a 90 degree hand torch; capable of passing a M2 tack welding test and stainless steel test; familiar with the utilization of small hand and power tools such as bubble level, framing and combination square, grinders and drill motors; capable of operating various lifting equipment such as come-a-longs and chain falls along with the knowledge of basic rigging procedures; read blue prints; have knowledge of electrical layout symbols (foundations & equipment); capable of identifying and fitting foundations for equipment of 50 pounds or less; familiar with the process of stud welding; possess a minimum of 3 years experience. Preferred Experience: Fit and weld foundations fabricated from steel and stainless steel material; familiar with the use of shop tools such as Drill Presses, Conduit pipe benders, Grinders, Sanders, Band Saws, Punch Machine, Pipe Threaders, Portable Sand Blast Machines and Sheer Machines; capable of welding at a second class level and passing a Brazing test; knowledge of Material Handling such as pallet coding and fasteners; possess a minimum of 4 years experience.
