Job Title: Electrician Leader Company: Location: Washington, DC Description: Serves as a working leader of three or more employees in accomplishing trades & labor work. Ensures that needed plans, blueprints, material, & tools are available, & that needed stock is obtained from supply locations. Responsible for all the electrical work, both on land & the floating plant, which includes diagnosis, maintenance, repairs, testing, layout, installation, etc. of the electrical system & incoming power line. Locates & diagnoses trouble in electrical systems, instruments, apparatus, & equipments such as welding machines, overhead cranes, lathes, floating crane motors, & diesel generators. Maintains in efficient working order all electrical machines, transformers, switchgear, distribution systems, lighting in buildings & offices, motor boats, tenders, dredges, etc. Uses various equipment & tools common to the trade such as meggers, voltmeters, ammeters ohmmeters, commutator grinders, undecutters, dressing tools, & power tools.
