We have the following opening in our Roseville, CA Manufacturing Facility: Facilities Maintenance Mechanic (Electrician) ' Perform routine rounds on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting and repairs using standard equipment and hand tools. ' Qualified candidates will demonstrate a well-developed specialization in electrical systems and serve as a technical expert. ' Perform well defined preventative maintenance (PM) on facilities equipment such as chillers, boilers, exhaust systems, process cooling water systems, HVAC, fire protection systems, building systems, etc. ' Regularly interfaces with Facilities Engineering, contractors and other work groups; maintains appropriate work related records such as equipment maintenance records, general work orders, maintenance request forms and PM checklists. ' Adheres to all safety and company policies. ' Utilizes the MP2 computer system for equipment maintenance reporting. REQUIREMENTS: ' High School Diploma or equivalent; Facilities Maintenance and/or related coursework a plus demonstrated strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills ' 4-6 years work experience in industrial electrical systems. Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical & mechanical equipment and components including but not limited to relays, starters, breakers, transformers, fans, pumps, motors, facility equipment and in reading and understanding schematics. Knowledge of electronic test equipment and hand tools. ' Ability to climb ladders, crawl, carry up to 50 lbs of equipment or tools, wear PPE, work in confined spaces, participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) and have good dexterity. ' Successfully pass respiratory test. Position Summary On-site field service representative for minor electrical and electro mechanical repairs. Assist with conducting system grooms and checkouts, and configuration validation. Prepare and install systems alterations. Involves heavy lifting, frequent stooping/bending and possible working assignments in overhead structures, confined spaces or beneath machinery. Good housekeeping habits, strict adherence to safety, high mental/visual effort and frequent travel/overtime are required. Assist with the performance of on-site field service for system grooms and checkouts, minor repairs and system configuration validation. Prepare and install equipment or system alterations (e.g. TEMPALTs, SHIPALTs, ORDALTs, etc.) IAW the directives (i.e. instructions, drawings, MILSPECs, etc.). Assist with the conduct of field service work for system/component evaluations. Qualifications High School/GED with Apprenticeship Diploma and additional vocational courses in electronics or electro mechanical practices and theory or technical school graduate and/or military and/or civilian experience with electronics or electro mechanical systems in a repair department or shipyard. Ability to prepare components and install equipment modifications (TEMPALTs, SHIPALTs, etc.) IAW drawing requirements. Technical knowledge and at-sea operational experience with submarine and/or surface combat weapons systems, launcher systems or other similar Naval or military system. Basic knowledge of shipboard electronics or electro mechanical systems (repair/installation practices, procedures, alignments and troubleshooting), and reading schematics and technical drawings. Ability to perform with minimal supervision. Knowledge and practical skills tests required. Level-I Qualifications One to five years experience in the above General Qualifications. Level-II Qualifications Five to seven years experience in the above General Qualifications. Level-III Qualifications Seven to ten years experience in the above General Qualifications.
