Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker Company: Intervise Consultants Location: Laurel, MD Description: Exp. Sheet Metal Worker   Start Date:          02/01/10                             End Date: 12/31/10 with possible extension Job Description:                               Interpret Engineering drawings or sketches, fabricate parts, and assemble hardware in support of R&D programs in accordance with quality initiatives.      .1)Responsible for the program, setup, and operation of CNC Punch Press, Press Brakes and other precision Sheet Metal machinery for end-to-end fabrication with minimal supervision.        2)Perform in-process inspection to assure hardware will meet customer requirements using precision measuring instruments (e.g.; calipers, etc.).  3)Review work packages for producibility issues. Communicate with the customer as required to achieve end objectives.  4)Record and monitor duration and completion of work performed in accordance with the quality procedures. Stay current and proficient with all applicable quality processes associated with assigned work.   Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC Punch Press, CNC Press Brakes and other equipment to fabricate hardware varying widely in application and complexity.  Fabricates, fits and assembles precision Sheet Metal components per sketches or drawings. Experience installing fasteners and hardware into Sheet Metal assemblies. Good oral communications for interfacing with customers during the fabrication process.  Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.  Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ANSI Y-14.5.   Applicants will be subject to Background Investigation and Evaluation.  Overtime will be required during periods of peak workload.Safety glasses and safety shoes required.   Applicant must have ability and willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift
