Must be familiar with the tools and equipment used to repair and fabricate such material. Must be familiar with the operation and repair of retention type locomotive toilets. Must be able to read pneumatic diagrams of diesel locomotives. Must be able perform all work generally known as Sheetmetal Worker's work and other duties as assigned. Works within the guidelines of the System Safety Program be being alert to physical hazards which affect operations and recognizing when conditions exist or could develop that would conflict with a safe operating environment for Amtrak or others. Mechanical Aptitude Test will be administered to successful candidates. Education: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Work Experience: Must have 3 years prior experience as pipefitter or railroad sheetmetal worker.
