This is a direct placement opportunity with a salary of $22-25/hr. Candidates who will be relocating will also receive a generous relocation package. The ideal candidate will have a great deal of experience in heavy check maintenance in a repair station environment.Candidates must possess an Airframe License.An A&P License is strongly preferred. Job Title: Structural Sheet Metal Mechanic Company: Aerotek Location: Macon, GA Description: Position(s) Summary: Aerotek Aviation is seeking qualified Structural Sheet Metal Mechanics & Technicians for immediate hire in our Macon, GA facility. Ideal candidate will have extensive experience specific to heavy check maintenance in a repair station and/or depot environment.Minimum Job Requirements: -Candidates must have a current "A" or “A&P” license as licensure will be verified during the interview process.-Candidates must have 5 + years of heavy structure repair / depot experience; experience specific to the CRJ and/or C-121 Constellation aircraft series is highly desirable.-Candidates must be able to read blue prints and schematics in order to fabricate sheet metal parts for complex repairs.-Candidates must be strong with both the Installation and Fabrication of said parts (i.e. close tolerances, close bends, etc.).-Candidates must pass a written exam and a practical test including a structures project during the interview process; scoring heavily influenced by both quality and accuracy.-Candidates must have their own set of tools.
