Job Title: Cable Technician Company: Location: Cleveland, OH Description: We are currently seeking dedicated individuals in the Cleveland, Ohio area to install and maintain consumer broadband/cable services. We are offering paid training, and permanent positions for those who can demonstrate an ability to achieve excellence. This is not an easy job, we are responsible for everything from the pole to the customers house and inside. You will be working in all types of weather conditions and may work long hours. Cable Technician A Cable Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of residential cable services. This includes but is not limited to connecting service at the pole, running new lines from the utility pole to the house, installing new lines and equipment in the house, and troubleshooting existing lines and equipment at the customers residence. Technicians are required to complete extensive training and will be tested on their knowledge of cable, internet, and telephony installation and maintenance. Each Technician will be evaluated on their knowledge and ability to perform tasks in a matter which reflects the company vision. You will be required to pass quality and performance metrics to ensure continued employment. Technicians are required to work in all weather conditions, while maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Encountering animals and insects is not uncommon. Physical demands of the job include carrying an 85lb extension ladder several hundred feet several times a day, climbing to heights above 30 feet several times per day and work in tight spaces; including attics, crawl spaces, and between structures.
