Job Title: Satellite Technician Cable Tech Installer Full Time Position Company: Location: Worcester, MA Description: Satellite Technician Tech Installer Full Time Position Protech Satellite Services, Inc. is currently looking for experienced Independent Satellite Technicians to perform residential and commercial installation for DirecTV /Dish Network in the Worcester, Fall River, Springfield and Lowell Area. Some responsibilities and duties: The Satellite TV Installer / Technician spearheads the installation, as well as assists with testing and repairing equipment that receives digital signals for residential customers by performing the following duties: ? Plans installations by evaluating location; locating access; laying-out equipment and wiring plan. ? Establishes cable satellite dish system by installing equipment; running and pulling TV cable; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards. ? Verifies system functioning by testing equipment and connections, identifying and correcting problems. Maintains records by documenting installation, service, and repairs. ? Maintains and improves service by listening to customer's description of problems; diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing problems; replacing and upgrading components; referring to schematics, manuals, and manufacturers' instructions. ? Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns and answering questions. ? Maintains safe work environment by following safe practices. ? Keeps supplies ready by performing stock inventory; placing orders; verifying receipt. ? Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. ? Uses problem-solving and technical skills to install satellite dishes and related equipment ? Evaluates job site to assess optimal placement of satellite dish and communicates with customers to review the installation process ? Provides customer education regarding system usage ? Manages the administrative processes including van inventory and appropriate documentation ? Ensures that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction ? Adheres to safety guidelines and requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and the ability to learn and perform required duties. Working knowledge of satellite/television installation services preferred. A valid driver?s license with a clean driving record is required.
