Job Title: (2) Cable Technicians needed - Company: Location: Jacksonville, FL Description: Seeking (2) experienced Cable Technicians to work on various large scale projects in Jacksonville. The Technician must be able to successfully install, test, terminate and punch down CAT3, CAT5 & CAT6. Must also have solid working experience with Fiber Optics as well as installation of cable pathway systems. The Tech must have their own personal cabling tools including a punch tool as well as reliable transportation. Overtime may be required. Basic telephony experience, Avaya and Nortel experience is a plus.  Telephony hand tools required. Pay rate range will be $20-24/Hr. depending upon experience and training. Level 1 - Cable Technician- Possess practical experience reading and working from Blueprints and/or customer provided floor plans. Knowledge of color codes for the proper termination of 25 Pair, 100 Pair Cables.etc. Working knowledge regarding the proper termination of Cat-5 cable on station jacks and patch panels. Telephony hand tools required. Pay rate range for Cable technician will be $16-20 per hour depending upon experience and training. THESE ARE PART-TIME/ON-CALL POSITIONS.
